If I run out of time and fail to complete the CEUs before my state license renewal, can you backdate my certificate?

NO! Absolutely not! The date on your certificate will be the date you successfully completed the course.

If I do not need the CEUs I purchased, can I get a refund?

No, but you will have access to them when you need them with the next renewal period. Just make sure that you are aware of how many hours you need before placing the order. The Online Courses need to be completed by December 31th of the year of purchase because the test and course material might be updated for the new year.

Does my state accept Smith Seminars continuing education?

All the courses are AARC-approved and every state accepts AARC continuing education. If you have any questions about your state license requirements, please contact your state board. I am not a representative of your state board. I cannot speak for them on the matter of what will or will not be accepted by them. As of March 1, 2022, all Live Online Webinar Courses are presented in real-time with live interactive chat.

What if I lose my certificate, can I get another copy?

Yes, you can contact Smith Seminars and another copy will be provided for you at no cost. It is always best to keep your certificates in a safe place. It is your career that is affected if you are not able to produce the certificates in an audit by your state. Smith Seminars no longer offers the vault system for certificate storage. Any certificates that were stored in the vault can now be requested by email.

Do I have to be a member of AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care)?

No, you do not have to be a member of AARC to complete continuing education with Smith Seminars. If you would like to become a member or find out about membership go to https://www.aarc.org. One AARC CRCE (Continuing Respiratory Care Education) is worth one CEU or continuing education unit.

Can I let someone else use my link to watch a Live Online Presentation?

No, because of the increasing risk of theft, it is not allowed for another person to use your link.

Can I use another person's credit card to purchase CEUs?

Yes, as long as you have permission to use their card. You must place YOUR NAME on the order.

When will I get my certificate?

When you pass the Online Course Test, you can download your certificate instantly. You will also get a copy emailed to you. The Live Online Webinar course certificate will be produced as soon as all courses you need for the current month have been completed. You will receive one certificate with the number of hours and a list of Live Online Webinar courses completed. Please contact debra@smithseminars.com or call 866-857-2211 when you are ready for the Live Online Webinar certificate of completion sent to you.

What is CE Broker?

CE Broker manages CEU records for some state licensures. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma licensees, if you supply your state license number in the evaluation, the hours will be posted to CE Broker for you. If you have a license in multiple states, please use your state abbreviation and license number. Example: AL 1122 & FL RT11222

How do I know when a Live Online Webinar will be presented?

See the course schedule on the bottom of the Home page. Each course is presented 6 times a day. The courses are set up to present 2 times in the morning, 2 times in the afternoon, and 2 times in the evening. The courses are on Daily Schedule A - 8AM - 10AM - 1PM - 3PM - 6PM - 8PM OR Daily Schedule B - 9AM - 11AM - 2PM - 4PM - 7PM - 9PM.

If I bought Online Tests and want to change it to Live Online Webinars, or vise versa, can I get the new links emailed to me?

No. Please make sure you know which courses you are purchasing. There is no way to transfer from one type of course to the other.
